Sensors and Instrumentation

The Ghana-Pods (G-Pod) were developed for use in the field to measure regional atmospheric composition, meteorology and position. The G-Pod uses the flexible open source air quality monitoring platform developed at the Hannigan Lab. The portable emissions monitoring system (PEMS) was designed and fabricated to measure total cooking emissions for regional emission factor generation in conjunction with the emissions pod (E-Pod), a smaller portable low-cost sampler similar to the G-Pod for additional point- source measurements.
